History: Here! More wiki Appearance: TadaPersonality: Mizuki is your average girl through and t- Who am I kidding. No one. Mizuki is not average because almost everyone around her thinks she's a boy. Guess what? She wants to keep it that way. It'd be bad if she was found out. Girl in a all boys school? That's definitely something her parents would freak out about. There are many things you can say about Mizuki, but one thing immediately apparent is she’s surrounded by sheer dumb luck. The fact that the few people that do know she is a girl haven't turned her in yet is pretty ridiculous, even if they do have a good reason.
Right off the bat you need to know that Mizuki is stubborn. Not in the "Oh, I'll just put my foot down for a second. That's not working? Oh well, maybe next time." She digs her heels into the dirt and stands her ground even if it makes things worse. Fiercely overprotective of her friends and with a temper to go with it, you don't want on her bad side. Mizuki can and will hit you for being an ass. She might not feel much remorse either, sorry. On that same path Mizuki is super determined when she wants to do something. She’s almost never short on motivation.
On a different note, she's a super optimist. Smiling loads and thinking that things will be all right is her general mindset. Something bad happens? She'll freak out for a bit. Few days later? It's all good. That might be because she's a ditz though. However, things are pretty cool normally.
This doesn't mean she can't get sad. Mizuki will tear up. Much more than a "boy" should. Her tendency to not hide her emotions can make her pretty easy to read. Sad face when sad, happy face when happy. It makes lying hard.
Meddling is not a hobby. It's an impulse that will not vanish. Mizuki wants to help. So she will. She might worry that she’s upsetting you but the end goal of conflict resolution/happiness is more important.
Abilities: Can speak Japanese and English. A very fast runner. Can have a sharp tongue?
Other: Totally a boy. Not a girl at all.
SAMPLESFirst Person: [When Mizuki figures out how to text the first thing that flows out of her fingertips is anger.]
Hey! What jerks idea was this really? Kidnapping a highschool student? My Dad’s a vet and my Mother teaches dance. They don’t have the money for ransom. I don’t have the money. I don’t think my school has a fund for this kind of thing either. Just let me go back!
Thank you.
[She places her phone down with a sigh. That’s not going to help really is it? Now that anger isn’t clouding her mind she’s not really sure what to do. Mizuki starts rubbing her face only to find her hand come away wet. She doesn’t know it’s recording a video.]
I can’t cry right now... I’m not supposed to cry in the first place. Men don’t cry.
[Repeating it will make it true even if she’s not really a man. She can beat the tears with stubbornness.]
Do they even know I’m gone yet...?[She can be a man later. Everything will be fine soon.]
Third Person: This was a joke. It had to be, right? When she had closed her eyes, she had been on a plane to Japan, coming back from California, going from family back to friends and school. This was not a plane. This was definitely not Berkeley. The air smelled different. Mizuki was all sure it was a dream, but... Everything felt too real. The grass was soft, but she could feel the points under her hand. She never dreamed in this much detail. At least not about the background.
For some reason, she starts wandering. She doesn’t knock on the first door closest to her. Shock, that’s it, shock. Kidnapped from a plane and placed gently into a lawn chair. She didn’t have a single bruise on her, let alone a scratch. How did they manage that? The other people on the plane? Were they okay? When she finally comes across the first person, about fifteen minutes has passed and she’s at a gate. They are on the other side of the gate, which seems to be locked.
“Hey!”
The man-- or is it a woman?-- stops and turns. Her eyes can’t get a good lock on her features, which is scary enough. They don’t say anything.
“Yes! You! Where are we? I can’t stay here. I need to leave.”
The person on the other side stares. Starting to get even angrier, Mizuki points at them. She’s scared. She wants to go home. Call her parents and brother and tell them she’s arrived safely in Japan. Back at school. Where her friends are. Not this scary, detailed dream. Then, the person points. Following their finger, she sees they are pointing the way she came. She needs to wake up. This is a terrible dream.
